It is relatively frequent that patient ends with slight asymmetry of areolas after breast reduction surgery like in your case. It can be corrected with a very simple surgery in local anesthesia. You should discuss options with your surgeon. Good luck.

Hi and thank you for the question. Overall I think you have a very nice result. Your areola shape and position is very good on the left side. The right side is a bit high and the shape is a bit off. Generally speaking, it is usually easier to raise a nipple up than to lower one. That being said, I usually try not to revise the side with the better result. In your case I would probably plan to excise an ellipse of skin along the bottom of the right breast. This would likely help to bring the areola down to match the left side better. At the same time I would also do a small revision of the right areola to match the round look of the left side. Both of these revisions can be done in the office under local anesthesia. Ask your plastic surgeon about it. Best of luck to you.
