I recommend following up with your original surgeon to discuss your concerns. If you suspect excess scar tissue forming, please stay out of the sun, as it is known that sunshine on the dorsum of the nose can prompt robust scar-tissue formation. Be patient and keep in mind that it can sometimes take a full year for the healing to resolve and to see the final result of a rhinoplasty.

Hi Joahnnes,In thick skinned patients long lasting and challenging eudema is most likely to occur. If poly beak deformity is foreseen in the recovery period, steroid injection is a very effective solution to prevent this complication. Genereally beginning from the second month of the surgery 2 doses of steroid injections, (1 inj/month) are sufficient in the management. For your case it would be a good idea to discuss it with your doctor. You get well soon.
