Hi:Alcohol should not be mixed with medication. If you are taking any antibiotics or pain medication you should wait until all the medication is done before consuming alcohol.Best,Dr. Maddahi
Alcohol in moderation is ok after a root canal therapy assuming you were not prescibed strong pain meds. In that case effects of the pills and alcohol might have synergetic effect.
There is no contraindication drinking alcohol after a root canal and crown procedure. It's alright to enjoy some drinks under these circumstances unless they prescribed certain medications. I wouldn't recommend drinking while taking narcotics (pain medicine) and/or certain antibiotics. If your dentist prescribed you some medicines I would confirm with them whether or not it is ok.
alcohol in moderation does not affect you when getting dental work but it does cause a smell which may distract the dentist
Do not drink and smoke until that time, your tooth still is weakened and could fracture. Avoid drinking during the first 24 hours and minimize the number of times you drink during the remaining healing process because drinking delays the healing process.
After having anesthetic , it is best to wait until your numbness goes away. Otherwise it is fine to drink alcohol in moderation.
