Retin-A and Laser Treatment for Spider Veins. Should I Discontinue Retin-A?

Retin-A and retinoids products are commonly used today.We tell patients to stop using Retin-A or retinoid products a week before scheduled vein procedures such as sclerotherapy or laser treatment for spider veins. 

You should stop the Retin-A about 3 days before your laser treatment.  If there is any bruising or crusting, wait until it has resolved before restarting your Retin-A; otherwise, you can start it 3 days after your treatment.
