Restylane Disappeared 5 Days After Injection, Is This Normal?

my doctor used 3/4 ampule of restylane to fill my upper lip . the result was great just after the injection .. 2 hours later i had a huge huge swelling and my mouth looked like a duck . i kept icing the area and i used (surgam) to reduce the swelling . now after 5 days of injection . i feel that i didn't do anything and the effect has gone . doctor said that i need to retouch . but it will worth or i will have the same result ? thank you

Sometimes people need more product - without knowing how much augmentation you're specifically looking for it's hard to answer your question. More product will certainly make your lips bigger. Icing and topical numbing can help with the pain, for sure.

It's possible. However, I would follow up with the provider for assessment. Without seeing you in person, it's difficult to know whether or not you had any fat they were working around when injecting the tear trough, or whether you're having some expected swelling.

Restylane or another dermal filler will be fine to add to that area - if you've had issues with an infection prior, I would first have this discussion with your injector to discuss potential complications and/or side effects.

It is unusual to have bruising that persists beyond a few weeks,  I recommend you return to your physician for an evaluation.
