Is It Possible to Remove Hemangioma on Scalp?

Question

A birthmark (about size of quarter) is present on the upper rear of the scalp. Possibly hemangioma or sebaceous naevus ? What options are there to remove it and costs? And will hair grow again there? I was not able to access your picture of the issue on your scalp. There can be several methods to remove a hemangioma. Sometimes, a laser can be used to treat it and sometimes surgery may be needed to excise it. Normally, hair growth should not be ultimately affected by either method.

I love to laser, however in this case, I would prefer surgery, as 1. Surgery will remove the lesion completely  2. The chance of recurrence is less than 1%   3. Scarring in this area can be hidden, and minimal at worse  4. Histology can be obtained. Sure, if you do want 'laser' than your Specialist should inform you of the pros and cons of lasers.
