Recent reduction from 34DD/DDD to 34B, was this too small?

Congratulations on having undergone the breast reduction procedure. This operation tends to be one of the most patient pleasing operations we perform. Only YOU  will be able to judge whether you are pleased with the breast size achieved. I would suggest that you make this decision based on how you feel about your breasts,  proportionality with the remainder of your torso, improvement of symptoms that you may have been experiencing, improvement in ease of activities etc.; not by comparing yourself to “community photos” or in relation to achieving a specific cup size ( which can be very arbitrary).  Also, remember that it will take several months for you to “adapt” the your new body image (physically and psychologically). Best wishes; hopefully you will be pleased with the longer-term outcome of the procedure performed. if, on the other hand (in the longer-term) you wish to increase breast size,  breast augmentation surgery will remain an option.

Photos would be helpful to assess the size.  A lot goes into determining how small to go in a breast reduction.  First, know that all bras are not created equal in terms of sizing and that there is tremendous variation at both ends of the scale.  I also take into account patient age and body habitus.  If you are young, we know statistically that you are likely to gain weight over the years and must aim for a size that will not leave you needing a repeat reduction down the road.
