Sun exposure after microdermabrasion, will I get hyperpigmentation?

I got a microdermabrasion I went outside and forgot To put sunscreen. I ran inside as soon as I remembered. I applied sunscreen and avoided sun exposer after. Is there a chance of me getting hyperpegmantation?

It's important to protect your skin from the sun at all times, and particularly after a treatment. I'm glad to hear that you remembered and applied sunscreen immediately.  There is the potential for hyperpigmentation from that sun exposure, but not likely that it would effect you in that amount of time. Keep your skin protected and you will see the best results!

Thanks for your question. Microdermabrasion makes the skin more sensitive to sun damage because it removes the outermost layer of cells, leaving the sensitive underlying layer exposed. However, if you were only outside briefly, it’s unlikely you’ll see any lasting effects from the sun. Remember to wear sunscreen daily for the next 2 weeks.

Although microdermabrasion is a very superficial treatment, if it is pressed deep enough you can get some removal of the outer layers of the skin, but you did not have enough exposure to matter
