Microdermabrasion, in its early days, was described as epidermabrasion, i.e. the kind of exfoliation that you might get from using a Buf Puf, Loofah or even a stiff wash cloth. So, in general, this treatment for most things, except for perhaps giving your skin a bit of a temporary glow and smoothness, is pretty much a waste of time and money. As to the bumps on your forehead, unfortunately, the photo is not of sufficent closeness or clarity to say much. Rather than continuing on a trial and error self-help basis, you would do well to seek consultation and treatment by a board certified aesthetic dermatologist. If these bumps, for example, are deep-seated milia (tiny epidermoid cysts), these can be opened and the contents extruded. Or if they are overgrown oil glands, technically known as sebaceous hyperplasia, they can be flattened using electrodessication. Your best bet is to seek professional care. Best of luck.
the photo shows mostly your scalp instead of your forehead but microdermabrasion is not a very effective treatment anyway. see a board certified dermatologist to get on a program to clear this up
Microdermabrasion is very unlikely to alter the appearance of scarring, particularly the kind of surgical scarring you’re referring to. Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical procedure intended to reveal a fresh, new layer of skin by gently removing skin that’s been damaged or dulled by dirt, oil...
HiI am sorry to see you have had some discomfort following your Microdermabrasion procedure. This is not a usual contraction after treatment. It may have been performed with too much pressure. This should heal in time and I wouldn't imagine it would leave a permanent mark to the skin due to th...
HiRetin A products are good for improving skin texture but can only do so much. You will see a definite improvement in the skins laxity but will need either Medical Needling or surgery to achieve satisfactory results.Hope this helps.
Dear chellea2:Yes, microneedling with PRP will improve your acne scars tremendously. It is also wonderful for fine lines, pores, discoloration, and stretch marks. I have seen even pitted scars improve or disappear. If any shallow scars persist, they can be filled permanently with Bellafill.Al...
HiLittle treatments will remove your freckles unless they are very deep or contain bleaching agents. Microdermabrasion will have no effect on your freckles. Make sure you wear an SPF 30 daily.Kind regards
HiI wouldn't recommend Microdermabrasion for the delicate eye area. Something like the new 'Perk' treatment would rejuventae and nourish the area for you whilst providing a brightening effect. Kind regards
