Is there a way to help speed up the peeling process after a VI Peel?

I got a VI Peel on Friday and it is now Sunday. I am peeling around my nose and mouth quite a bit, and I am expecting more peeling the next few days. I am not touching the peeling, and I know not peeling the skin off my face. However, I unfortunately have a lot of meetings this week as well as a few classes. Do you recommend anything to speed the process (lots of moisturizer, less moisturizer, aquaphor, etc)?? Bad timing to get a peel, but this was an “emergency” peel that had to be done now!

Great to hear that you have started the peeling process. You really do not want to "speed up" the peeling process. Just follow your post care instructions. You can actually damage the skin by trying to exfoliate faster. Usually the first 2-3 days of peeling are the heaviest, then more flaking so hopefully most of your deeper peeling will be done before your meetings.

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, you do not want to "speed" the process of peeling because your skin needs to take its own time to remove the dead skin and heal. Usually, the peeling is worse the first few days then gradually will lessen, but the whole process may take 1-2 weeks. I highly recommend you consult with the provider that performed the peel.
