Nearly 5 weeks PO breast reduction. Red itchy weeping. (Photo)

im nearly 5 weeks po. ive had this about a week. i thought it was the tape on my incisions so i have taken it off 3 days ago but doesnt seem to be subsiding. its weeping itchy red and annoying on both breasts. I have an appt to see my surgeon this week.

This is something you should ask your surgeon about who knows you best. For my patients, I tell them it is possible that they will be able to drive after one week as long as they are not taking any pain medication. Good luck.

As a rule of thumb, half of the time sensation becomes greater after a breast reduction and half the time it becomes less.  It takes about 3 months for the sensation to settle.
