Can PRK take more than 1 year to recover from?

I had my PRK at 15 Aug 2017. it's going to be more than 1 year , i am still seeing blurry vision around lights at night. Even i can't look at them directly. Does it take this much time to heal. i consulted with my doctor, he was saying it will be recover itself. Can you please advice. i shall be very thankful to you.

There are a lot of issues that can delay visual recovery. Dryness (not very likely), haze (more likely), remnant or variable prescription (likely) are a few. The do usually get better and completely resolve by the year anniversary of the surgery.

PRK can take a while for all the final symptoms to even out such as sensitivity to lights.  You are 6 months out from surgery which is the average time that these symptoms to fade away which means there are some patients who take longer to heal.  There are other factors that can cause light sensitivity, so as long as you are continuing to follow up with your surgery center, they will be able to see if any of these are taking effect.
