Sebaceous cyst should be removed using Radio frequency laser?

Question

I am having sebatious cyst near cleavage. Consulted a doctor and as per them its not too big yet and can be removed using RF laser. Consulted another doctor for second opinion as per them it should be removed using proper surgery. Now I am confused what should I do?

If the cyst is inflamed, then the simple injection of an anti-inflammatory agent to shrink may be all that is necessary. If no inflammation, then the use of the minimal incision technique, which has stood the test of decades of use (I personally have performed it with consistently gratifying results for well over thirty years) is in order. Lasers and RF devices are expensive, faddish, Johnny-come-lately devices lacking a long, proven track record for efficacy and safety. Using just a local anesthetic to make the procedure painless, the minimal incision approach involves making a small cut over the center of the cyst and manually extruding both the cysts contents and sac. If the sac is removed, "Voila!" cyst permanently gone. And, if the incision is small, no stitches are typically required. Just make sure to consult a board certified cosmetic dermatologist and not any venue hawking the latest "next big thing" device, it has just purchased. Best of luck.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, sebaceous cyst can be safely removed using a small incision. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.
