I want to have my inner thighs and anogenital area treated - but I have many dark moles there that I really do not want exposed to the laser, so I have hesitated to try laser for years. Can my moles be avoided? Can a smaller device be used to treat between them? Or can they be masked somehow? I had a consultation, but the nurse did not understand my concern. Next time, what questions should I ask about this? I tried to provide photos that show everything clearly - I hope that's OK. Thanks!

Thank you for your message! The size of the tip of the laser depends on what laser the office you choose uses. It is possible to avoid moles, just by not going over that area with the laser. The laser may be a bit more uncomfortable if moles are gone over due to the darker pigmentation, though they can be avoided if you truly wish for that! I would recommend a consultation with a provider in your area to further express your concerns and to see the size of the laser that they use!
