Number of applicators on abs, flanks, and bra fat area for CoolSculpting - what is accurate?

An examination of you would be helpful to determine the number of CoolSculpting applicators that would be needed to treat you. I would say, in general, that I tend to mostly use one applicator to treat one flank and the same for the other side. There are different sized applicators, so sometimes a larger one can be used on the abdomen instead of the smaller ones. In some people, using the smaller applicators may fit better than using a large one.

You may get different opinions from different providers of coolsculpting. The measured area of pinchable fat determines the number of applicators and number of treatments for the best result. It is certainly not unusual to use two applicators to treat one flank area. But, it depends on your body shape. Four or six is common for abdomen and one or two is common for a bra bulge.

Without seeing what we are working with, we would still probably recommend two treatments on the flanks to try and get rid of the pockets you have. Every treatment you get will remove 20% of the fat cells in that area. But without knowing your goals on what you would find an acceptable outcome, we would start out with an over all plan of 4 for the flanks. If you are satisfied after just one on each side then you could just be done with the treatment

The RN may be suggesting 2 for each flank as there is more fat in the area. Normally a cycle of Coolsculpting will reduce a bulge by 30% and so often areas are retreated.
In our office, if Coolsculpting is going to cost over 8K, we normally do a consultation for liposuction as well, as liposuction can often be more cost-effective, and give you a very good reliable result, if you are a good surgical candidate and don't mind a recovery period.
