When transferring Orthodontist can I be charged twice if my treatment is paid in full?

I transferred Orthodontist from FL, to VA and my new Ortho in VA wants to charge me for refinement trays which are already paid in full from FL. The new ortho has instructed me to call my previous ortho and ask for a partial refund since my treatment is not complete but my old Ortho will not comply. What should I do?

Your fee at the first orthodontist was approx 1/3 for the cost of the Invisalign and 2/3 cost for the doctor's expertise/office expenses etc.When you transferred the new orthodontist does not have to pay any additional fee for the Invisalign but you still need to pay for his/her time!Unfortunately, the new orthodontist has no control over how much if any refund the original orthodontist will credit you for the work that he/she didn't have to do to finish you up

You can not expect your new orthodontist to treat you for free. You are paying for the orthodontist's expertise, time in the chair, and the treatment rendered.
