I had a crown placed today on my lower molar. When I bite down there is bloackge on the top molar directly above tooth with a crown. I can see what looks like porcelain glob attached to that top molar. I can't bite down, chew or even bring my teeth togerher. Is this normal? Is this to prevent me from biting down on the crown? I'm not sure I can handle this for 2 weeks til my permanent crown is done!!

Several things can make it important to extract a crowned tooth. These include root fracture, extensive root decay, or advanced periodontal disease. All these conditions will not show by just looking on the tooth. I suggest that you further discuss the issue with your dentist. Good luck
It is hard to give a reason without a full clinical picture and x-rays. It could be a crown margin that is open or overhang, decay, or a deep pocket. This odor is usually caused by a hidden area that is not reachable with cleaning.
