After breast reduction, when will I get my final bra size? 1 month p.o. (photos)

It really depends on the healing rate of an individual. Generally, it takes 6 months post-op to finally see your final results. By this time you may still be experiencing some degree of swelling and tissue tightness which should resolve on their own in the coming months.

The healing process after surgery can take several months, and the final shape and size of your breasts can take time to settle. Typically, it can take around 6 to 12 months for swelling to fully go down and for your breasts to reach their final size. In some cases, you may notice changes in shape or size up to a year after the surgery.
If you’re hoping for your breasts to shrink a bit more, it’s possible that as the swelling continues to decrease, they may appear slightly smaller. However, the final size largely depends on the extent of tissue removed during the surgery and how your body heals. Be sure to consult with your surgeon during follow-up appointments, as they can give you a more specific timeline based on your healing process.

Congratulations on having undergone the breast reduction procedure. In my practice, I advise patients not to spend money on expensive bras until they are about six months post op.  Your breasts will continue to change over the course of the next several months. Until then, I would advise the use of less expensive, non-underwired bras.  Avoid bras that irritate the breast reduction scars.See if your plastic surgeon has his/her preferences. Best wishes.
