Please help, I recently (4weeks ago ) got dysport, for the first time, I have had Botox several times before. And dysport is not working..But after 60 units and 4 weeks I have lines that never disappeared and almost all movement in my forehead. In which with previous Botox , all lines and movement had disappeared. Did the dr not inject correctly, should I ask for a touch or or what? Please help I am soo upset about spending so much and not getting the results I have got before and were pleased with....
Answer: How to address ineffective treatment with Dysport The dosage of Dysport you received should be plenty to effectively treat your forehead, if all 60 was used in the forehead. The best thing to do is to follow up with your physician. A number of factors could have contributed to the lack of effect, but dosage is not one of them. Your physician will most certainly seek to give you results you are pleased with if the Dysport has taken no effect.

Answer: No results with Dysport It is difficult to give you full advice without examining you, but I would recommend returning to the physician who treated you to discuss your concern. Additional treatment should be available to improve your result. While most people who have good results with Botox also have good results with Dysport, it is possible that one works better for you than the other. I'm also assuming that the doctor who treated you with the Dysport is the same who treated you with the Botox. If not, I would also recommend returning to the doctor who gave you the better result.

Answer: No change after 60 units of Dysport Injected, need to go back to doctor I don't know where you were injected, so it's hard to advise you properly. However, if 60 units were used in one place, ie the glabella, it should work. If it was spread out over several areas, you might not see much difference because that dose is not enough to fully treat all areas. In any event, go back to the doctor and see what he has to say. Some people get better responses to either Botox or Dysport, but most have similar responses to both.Steve Weiner, MD, Facial Plastic Surgeon, Destin, Florida.
