Thanks for your question. Check with your Mohs surgeon's office to be sure, but I would think it would be helpful to have the area as hair free as possible. It will help dressings to stick if there is less hair in the area of the skin cancer. The assistant at your dermatologist's office also might do the shaving themselves if that is part of their standard practice, so ask them first. Good luck!
