I am 22years old with 36DDD size breast I weigh 150 pounds , height 5"4 and I am getting a reduction but my insurance required 400 grams to be removed ,my goal is to be a size C cup but I'm not sure what size this will leave me with . Help
Answer: Breast Reduction If you are a DDD cup, 400 gm will not be a very large reduction. Typically at your size a reduction oif at least 1000 gm is done. If you would like a C cup, then a reduction of 800-1200 gm would be needed. Your insurance company should definitely cover this.

Answer: Breast reduction to meet insurance requirements Typically (if you are a true 36DDD) every 200g equals 1 cup size. So if 400g is being removed, your outcome should be a full D. Instead of accepting what insurance companies dictate, why not choose the size you truly desire and choose a technique that doesn't leave all the unsightly scars and creates long term results with upper pole fullness without implants? Take a look at what can be achieved with current techniques in breast reduction and lifting techniques. The Horndeski Method preserves nipple sensitivity and the ability to breast feed.Best wishes,Gary Horndeski M.D.

Answer: What cup size will I have after getting 400 grams removed from a size 36DDD ? Thank you for the question and congratulations on your decision to proceed with breast reduction surgery; this operation tends to be one of the most patient pleasing operations we perform. There is no direct correlation between the amount of tissue removed and the ultimate cup size that a patient will wear after breast reduction surgery. Before undergoing the breast reduction procedure it will be very important to communicate your size goals with your surgeon (who you should choose very carefully). Most patients wish to achieve enough of a reduction to help with their symptoms while remaining proportionate with the remainder of their torso. With the goal of improving communication with my patients I find the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “proportionarte” or “C cup” means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Best wishes with your breast reduction procedure; hopefully you will be very pleased with the outcome of the procedure performed.

Answer: #breastreduction What cup size will I have after getting 400g removed from a size 36DDD? Good question but only estimates are possible! 400g reduction is a little small but that may be ok depending on your current size. You can figure that APPROXIMATELY 250g or cc is about 1 cup size so you may go down 1.5-2 cup sizes. Keep in mind that bra sizing varies WIDELY and differs between manufacturers--a DDD at Victoria Secret may only be a D in a Nordstrom bra. I find it helpful to have my patients bring in photos of their goal size as this is sometimes an easier way to ensure both patient and surgeon are on the same page about the post-operative goal. The key is to make sure that the photos you choose are women with the same baseline body size/shape as you FIRST, then look at the breasts second. Make sure that you consult with board certified plastic surgeons. Good luck!

Answer: What cup size will I have after getting 400 grams removed from a size 36DDD ? Without posting photos can not be very accurate! If you desire a C cup from a DDD cup at least 800 gas per side would be needed to be removed in my opinion!
