My consultation is July 21 , and I start school august 9 .

The time between a consultation and scheduling surgery depends on several factors. Do you want insurance to pay for the procedure? If so, it could take weeks or months to get approval from your insurance carrier. You can speed that process by having documentation that you have symptoms caused by the size of your breasts, such as letters from a chiropractor, physical therapist, or orthopedic surgeon. Our office gets written approval from the insurance company before scheduling because of the unpredictability of the process. If you plan to pay for your procedure, how quickly you can be scheduled will depend on availability of your surgeon's schedule.Be sure and see a board certified plastic surgeon who is experienced with breast reduction. This is a very gratifying procedure for both surgeon and patient because most patients have significant symptom relief along with a cosmetic improvement in their breasts.
