I am 6 weeks post op on my breast reduction. I still have not had my first menstrual cycle post op and am starting to become concerned. My hormones have been all over the place the last 2 weeks so I keep thinking its right around the corner but I have no other of my normal symptoms. My last cycle ended about 5 days before surgery. Is this normal??

It is up to your surgeon and there is not one right answer. I routinely give IV antibiotics at the time of surgery and about a week of oral antibiotics. As the surgery takes several hours and is extensive soft tissue surgery, it is reasonable to have antibiotics post operatively...
You are still early in the healing process and what you are seeing are not your final results. Your best course of action is to wait for the full 6 months before concluding your results. You are still in the early process of healing and what you are seeing now may still improve over the coming...
This is not unusual following Free nipple graft surgery. The nipple is thinned less than the areola and often it is the nipple area that takes the longest to heal. The incisions will improve but you need postop support regarding the scars. Keep in touch with your PS who can advise you.
