I am 5'6" BMI of 32 I am diabetic and I am on Insulin. high blood pressure. high cholesterol I'm tired and I don't feel good all the time am I candidate with the BMI of 32. If so how come Dr's around here want my bmi 35. BLUE cross blue shield will not cover any weight loss procedures.

The answer is not straightforward and you should seek the opinion of a bariatric surgeon. Our scientific literature has shown that band to gastric bypass patients do as well as patients who choose gastric bypass originally. The same cannot be said for band to sleeve patients.
