I have an uneven smile and TMJ. What could possibly be causing this? (Photo)

For as long as I can remember I have an uneven smile. One side of my face is lower than the other. I also have more fat on one side of my face. I do have TMJ. Could that possibly be the cause or can it be something else. Thank you.
