I have been using Retin A for about 3 weeks. Two days ago I noticed a darkening around my temple and cheek area on the right side of my face. The nurse at the doctor's office did not have a clue. She suggested seeing the doctor. My co-pay is extremely high to see a dermatologist, especially if this could be resolved by simply speaking with him. Is this darkening normal or did I fail to use enough sunscreen?

I suggest retin A and consider venus legacy RF tightening along with sculptra injections to continue with tightening and age prevention in this area. Best, Dr. Emer.
There are many options for treatment and are best in combination. I suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist with experience in treating this area. Best, Dr. Emer.
Retin A cannot tighten, it can only help fine lines. Sculptra and Thermage followed by venus legacy or velashape are my best combination to fight wrinkling arms. ThermiRF is a good surgical option. Best, Dr. Emer.
