You can use chemical sunscreens while using tretinoin at night. Chemical sunscreens can cause irritation for sensitive skin, so I would recommend patch testing a bit of your chemical sunscreen before applying it to your whole face to see if you experience any adverse effects. If you do experience any irritation you should switch to a mineral sunscreen.

With that being said, some chemical sunscreens can cause irritation or breakouts, so applying a test spot to the jawline for 1 week will help asses for any reaction.
