Can I use Retin-A and a sunless tanner at the same time?

I was prescribed Tretinoin cream (0.025%) as a form of Retin-A, but I have also been using a gradual sunless tanner lotion prior to this. Is it ok to use them both if I alternate nights that I apply them?

Sure you can use Retin A and Sunless tanning lotion together. Ideally you would add a sunscreen as well. Wishing you the best of health. Dr Wright

Great question!  
YES!! You should apply the tretinoin cream at bedtime to clean, dry skin.  Apply the sunless tanner over it.  To avoid getting sundamage to the skin you are brilliantly treating with tretinoin and a sunless tanner, be certain you are using an excellent sunscreen during the day....such as one with titanium dioxide or zinc oxide, both physical blocks.
