Hello and thank you for your question. An in person consultation with your board certified Dermatologist for any further questions regarding your treatment is always recommended. Generally, topical tretinoin can be both, short term and long term solution. Tretinoin is a retinoid that stimulates cell turnover that opens the pores releasing bacteria and irritants that are causing acne. In addition to that, is helping your skin to regulate its natural oil production that can prevent future breakouts. Hope this was helpful.Take care and good luck !
Thank you for your question.Stopping tretinoin after skin is clear is not "bad for you," but stopping treatment can allow acne to return over time. I highly recommend you consult with a board certified dermatologist regarding further questions or concerns about your treatment. Take care and good luck.
Dear ON,Breakouts can be very frustrating.Retin A can cause breakouts when you initially start it, in some people. If you stick with it for a while, the body will get use to it, and then start minimizing acne, rather than causing it.Best. Dr Brecht
Thank you for your question.Although the amount dose of Tretinoin maybe the same in both products you have used it could be the preparation (type of cream) that caused you to break out. Take advice from your Dermatologist, you may need to try a few different types or strengths before you find...
Hi there,Yes you can... however this may cause irritation. It really is whatever you can tolerate.... Sometimes it is best to use The Kojic in the am and the Tretinoin in the pm.Lots of sunscreen! Best of luck....
