Question

AGA or TE? Hair fine March 2017. Then filed for divorce started gradually noticing small amounts of hair loss and overall thinner hair. On Micronelle 30 ED (Levonorgestrel) for the last 6 years (fine). Stress induced by divorce and stopped the BC aim October 2017. Massive shift in hair (massive shed in December). Still falling out at un normal rates for my hair but lessening. However not much left as it’s very thin And I have wiry hairs everywhere sticking out.

The confirmation and differentiation between these two conditions can not be ascertained from the provided information and photos. Please see a dermatologist. A careful examination of the scalp, including use of trichoscopy, along with full review of your medical details, history and blood tests is needed. Features of a patterned loss are likely present here but this requires proper evaluation and to exclude TE. Many women with your story have both.

Stress induces hair loss if you have the genetics for it in men. It is most likely genetic hair loss and best treated with the drug finasteride
