I want to surgically remove a tattoo on my chest, will it affect the shape of my breasts? (Photos)

Hi, I got a tattoo that I really hate since I got it, I want it gone asap and I'm considering tattoo surgical excision, It's located in between my chest, I was just worried that If I got this excised it could affect the shape and form of my breast. I'm 18 and I was really depressing about it.

Hello, thank you for your question and for including a photo.  I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with your new ink.  To excise a tattoo, the skin is actually removed and a closure would have to be done. This can definitely have an affect on the tissue between your breasts. It would be best to do laser tattoo removal, it make take about a year to rid the skin of ink, but it will definitely be a much safer course. The PicoWay Laser (Candela/Syneron) uses photoacoustic impact/pressure waves rather than photothermal/heat.  This process has less heat, therefore it is more comfortable and the chances of hyperpigmentation are less.  The Pico-second pulse shatters the ink into even smaller particles, allowing the body to more easily absorb the ink.  This type of device can usually remove unwanted ink in about half as many treatments as the traditional Q-switch devices.

yes surgically removing that tattoo would distort the shape of your breasts as well as possibly create an ugly, raised and thick scar.  Best to do tattoo removal with a laser, which should give great results, it will just take a year to completely remove it but you will be happier in the end
