Thank you for your question in regards to laser tattoo removal. For best results, I would suggest waiting 8-12 weeks after your last laser treatment before you get another tattoo in the same area. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Thank you for including photos. YES you can have a tattoo placed over a site where you had one removed. This is very common and I frequently work with tattoo artists to help prepare their clients for new tattoos to replace old ones they don't like. If you are still having laser treatments, I recommend waiting at least 6 weeks after the last treatment prior to having new ink placed. Best of luck.
