Does led light therapy and Dermapen really work?

Question

IVe just had my first of 6 led therapy treatments which was the White light therapy to prepare my skin for Dermapen. They recommended 3 white treatments and 3 red treatments. Then Dermapen to treat laser damage which consists of scaring and bad texture. Will this work

Red light with levulan works well, traditional LED light only works for mild inflammation like post a chemical peel or sun burn.  Dermapen or microneedling is a sucessful treatment and should be combined with lasers or radiofrequency treatments for best results.  Best, Dr. Emer.

As Dr Emer pointed out, some combinations work very well with red light, including ALA and red light for sun spots, or red and blue for treating acne in pregnancy. I did a blinded study 3 years ago using Fraxel laser with both red light and yellow light (split face). One side of the face was covered with opaque material, the other exposed to red or yellow light to assess healing times. Bottom line- no difference as assessed by independent specialist.
