Why Did my Lips Turn Blue/purple After Permanent Makeup Application?

I had permanent lip colour - 3 X but my lips have a bluish/purplish tinge ? Why? And what can I do to fix them?

I occasionally work with an aesthetician who performs micropigmentation. She has commented and actually prefers that a filler be placed prior to pigmentation because it makes her job easier to apply a smooth border to the lips. Discuss this with your professional.

As for comfort, yes, sedation is possible and advisable if there is appropriate physician supervision. It is not a good situation to have severe discomfort for any procedure--for both the patient and for the ability to achieve optimal results. Glancing through the Permanent Makeup questions...
