Stitches came off and and my gums are separated from implant. Is this normal? I'm 2 weeks post op (Photo)

Question

I have had a implant place and then the stitches came off and now there is a space all around the implant and the gums is this normal and if it is how will it take to heal properly? and will the gums ever reconnect on there own? I do have a appointment with the oral surgeon in a couple days i just want to make sure everything is going okay.

I agree with Dr Kazemi.  Usually with lots of salt water rinses the tissue will heal.  Although the area needs to be looked at by your surgeon. It appears that the top of the implant platform is visible below the healing abutment or cover screw. This may be of minimal significance based on the type of implant placed. The area should heal without any issue though with good oral hygiene

its not common , but no need to worry about that , as u said its almost 2 weeks. so its oky. but remember to clean that area. do no touch with finger or feel that area with tongue.

Lots of oral rinsing with saline and gentle diet will help to keep the site clean and heal. Loosening of the stitches is not necessarily a problem as the gum tissue will heal and tighten up over 4-6 weeks.
