Had successful LASIK surgery 2.5kwks ago. 2 days ago I noticed first thing in the morning the light was just too much for my eyes. Also had sensation of something in my left eye. Strangely,symptoms will be around for 2 hours and suddenly go away and I'll be normal again with no complaint. Again suddenly it'll happen and my eyes will water and get sensitive. Dr said to start the steroid drops again and look for improvement. He also stated something about rebound tenderness?

Your reaction is not typical, and it should be treated. It might be best if you were examined. Steroids are probably the best treatment, but without an examination it is hard to be sure.

Foreign body sensation and light sensitivity aren't typical. You did the right thing to consult the doctor (? surgeon who did the procedure). Hopefully they took a look at you.The increased steroid drops sounds right, but this is something no one else should do without a doctor looking at them in a similar situation.Best of luck to you.
