How well does micro-needling work for perioral (smokers) lines? Can it also be done on the neck?
Answer: Microneedling for lip lines Hello and thank you for your question. Microneedling can definitely help with lines around the mouth. You will need to do a series of microneedling treatments to get to desired results. Consider adding platelet rich plasma (PRP) to at least one of your microneedling treatments. PRP stimulates collagen and elastin production which thickens and tightens thinning skin, effectively smoothing wrinkles and fine lines. Because it boosts collagen, it's also a great treatment for improving overall skin texture and tone. Microneedling with or without the added PRP can be done on the neck as well. Good Luck to you, hope this helps.

Answer: Smoker's Lines Thank you for your message! Microneedling is a great option for fine lines. Microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a device that contains fine needles. The needles are used to puncture the skin to create a controlled skin injury. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin. Through this process there is improvement in skin texture and firmness, as well as reduction in scars, pore size, fine lines, and stretch marks. You can couple microneedling with PRP (platelet rich plasma) for quicker results and a faster healing time. Microneedling can be performed on the neck as well. Other options for fine lines above the lip include Botox, dermal fillers, and/or laser resurfacing! I would recommend a consultation with a provider in your area to further assess your options in person!
