Will the Vivera liners fix a gap between my 2 front teeth & a slightly crooked tooth on the bottom that my Invisalign didn't?

I will do my best to answer your question with the information given.It seems that your doctor is attempting to fabricate your Vivera retainers from your last set of aligners that show that your space should be closed.  Although in your case, your space did not close with your last set of aligners.  I would address that with your orthodontist and talk to her about ordering more aligners to attempt to close the space.  There are ways to treatment plan with Invisalign to incorporate additional space closure at the end of treatment.  You also might want to address the thickness of the muscle tissue between your front teeth and possibly having it removed.  It may be causing your space to reopen.  Finally, when the space is completely closed, I would recommend a permanent fixed retainer behind your teeth to prevent it from reopening in the future.I hope that this helps and good luck.Best,Dr. Jenn 

Your doctor is probably talking about getting Vivera based on one of the treatment aligners that had the spaces closed.  It is a much more powerful tool to get that last little bit.  Also, getting that last closure of what were once large gaps may require a little tissue trim between the teeth to deal with excess connective tissue that may keep pushing back.

Vivera is a retainer and can be made two ways.The first way is from a new scan or impression, that will keep your teeth the same as they are now.The second way is based upon your final aligner, that will get your teeth to be the way they were on the last tray.If the gap was not closed during your last tray, speak to your doctor to find out how his/her plan is to close the space with the Vivera.
