Microneddling is an excellent treatment for scars and hyperpigmentaton. Its important to pretreat you skin with a good bleaching cream for at least on week.Acne scars need more aggressive and deep microneedling than pigmentation. Scars need at least 1.5 mm and pigment does well with .5 mm.Good luck!

Find yourself a good
board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon in your region to learn all
about microneedling. This is a good therapy for those with scars and with
pigmentation concerns, as the needles and the procedure bypass what is called
the dermal-epidermal junction without damaging it, which is one reason we see
post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, or PIH, after many facial cosmetic
procedures. One of the newer needling devices on the market uses radiofrequency
(RF) energy to go deep into the skin to improve the scars and treat the pigment
– we use the EndyMed Intensif here – and this is something you might want to
consider.
