Does the laser used during laser hair removal do anything to stretch marks? either help them or make them worse?

The Yag laser used for laser hair removal can sometimes be set to treat stretch marks. However, there are certainly better options available for white and red stretch marks including pulsed dye laser and co2 laser. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianLos Angeles

question.Certain lasers can be used to help with the appearance of stretch marks, although when treating for laser hair removal the laser should not change the look of any stretch marks. Lasers that treat for hair removal are designed to attract the pigmentation in the hair, not to have any effect on stretch marks.

make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have
treatment.

While stretch marks can sometimes be improved with laser treatment, the lasers used to achieve hair removal typically do not have much affect on stretch marks one way or the other.

The laser is not going to change stretch marks.  Different lasers such as Fraxel or other ablative lasers will help these.  Also, the Infini will help stretch marks too, and is my choice for this problem.
