Stretching face after filler?

Hi, I’m concerned about accidentally moving my tear trough filler while removing my eye contacts. I made facial expressions similar to applying concealer under the eyes for a couple of minutes because it was hard for me to take my contacts off without touching the area, it was only 2 hours after getting the filler and I’m worried it might have affected the filler since it was like stretching the face. Could it have moved the filler?

That’s a very understandable concern — especially right after treatment when everything feels a bit delicate and new.
Tear trough filler sits in a deeper layer of the skin, usually placed carefully just above the bone. While it’s true that filler is a soft gel that can be gently molded right after injection, it typically takes a bit more force than normal facial movements to actually shift it from its intended position.
The kind of stretching or movement you described — making expressions while removing your contact lenses — is very unlikely to move the filler. The area may have been tender or slightly swollen, which can make it feel as though something shifted, but in reality, it’s usually just early post-procedure swelling or sensitivity.
For reassurance, during the first 24 to 48 hours, it’s best to avoid pressing, rubbing, or massaging the area unless specifically instructed by your injector. Gentle facial movements, talking, smiling, or expressions like applying concealer or removing contacts won’t typically cause filler displacement.
So even though it’s easy to worry, what you did was perfectly normal and shouldn’t affect your results. With time, the filler will integrate smoothly with your tissue and settle beautifully.

Gentle pressure, such as that used when removing contact lenses or making normal facial expressions will not impact your filler treatment.
