When can I expect swelling to go down after Cosmelan? (Photo)

I did my 10h Cosmelan1 3 days ago. My eyes were a bit stingy and teary for the last 6 hours. I woke up swollen eyes on D1 and D2. I visited my clinic for a LED on D2, they said it was normal and nothing to worry about. I started the Cosmelan 2+HVF-k and Melan Recovery 2/day. This morning,D3, it looks worse (see pic) No pain or itching.It has resided a little during the day. Is there reason for concern? If not, when can I expect the swelling to be gone? By when is the face colour back to normal?

Congratulations on your cosmelan peel. You can expect to be red ir dark pink the day after the mask. When you start applying the cosmelan 2 you will continue to be pink. In our offices protocol, we apply cosmelan 2 three times a day for the first week and then twice a day for the second week and then just one a day until it is gone. By day ten your pinkness should be diminishing and your pigment should be cut in half.  I wanted to add that your selling is usually worse on the third day. So don't be alarmed, you are getting over the hump!!

Cosmelan is a very superficial peel. Some people will swell quite a bit with it. Usually comes down in a few days. Talk to your dermatologist and he/she can give you some medications to help it resolve faster.
