For many decades, light electrodessication has been used to treat all kinds of facial telangiectasias (tiny "broken blood vessels"). The procedure is quick, inexpensive and has a track record for both efficacy and safety. Relatively expensive, "bells and whistles" lasers and other energy devices cannot say this simply because the hard science to support their use lags woefully behind the heavy marketing to promote them.
