Can ketoconazole/Nizoral 1% cause hair shedding and/or breakage?

Recently started OTC Nizoral shampoo 1%. Started it just a little over a month ago. Also currently on Minox/Dut, and have been, so I have the DHT inhibitors also going. Over the past day, I've experienced the strongest shed I've ever had... 20-30 hairs/shower, when I usually lose 2 to 6'ish. The only change to my regimen was the Nizoral just over 4 weeks ago. Could this be similar to a "Rogaine shed?" Or, could Niz dry hair and it's breaking? (seems like many are shorter than my haircut length)

I recommend getting a consultation with a cosmetic dermatologist with experience in hair restoration and maintenance. There are some great options for hair restoration and maintenance like prp injections which can stimulate hair growth. Hope this helps.
