Minoxidil helps to stopping hair loss and thickening of hair although it may cause a little loss at beginning..But no  body  can say  that minox create a terminal hair from vellus.

There is no requirement for you to taper your dose of finasteride if it is being used for hair loss. You can stop using your finasteride suddenly but please be mindful that this may mean you revert back to having hair loss. 

In my opinion you should use these separately so that each medication can be absorbed the way the manufacture created it for. That way you get maximum results.
