Could I have lost my hair permanently from using a Derma Roller on my hair? (Photo)

I've noticed over the last year my child hairline is no longer with me anymore. Yes, I'm familiar with the fact that I could have male pattern hairloss, my brothers have both thinned out. Only one of my temples is affecting me emotionally. 8 months ago I used a derma roller on the right side of my head for around a week on my right temple making the skin a bit damaged and a bit of the hair had been broken. My hair grows in fine but the right side looks hideous. Dermatologist said it looks fine.
