Tears in skin from Derma Roller user. Will it need treatment? (photos)

Question

So I believe I have tears in my skin on my cheek near my eye and nose from dermaroller use. It's been a month since done but lines here look very pronounced. I'm not sure if it's from rolling or possibly retinol use but skin doesn't feel or look dry just prominent lines "tears". Will this improve after time or will it need treatment. Photo doesn't really show what I see when I look in the mirror but area is not smooth.

Agree with vertical delivery system. It is safer- if you are going to use a roller, limit it to .25 mm in a proper method to this area. Good news is that these marks may fade over 6 months. Because of their rolling action on the skin, I do not like rollers as they create a more erratic pattern of "tears" through the skin rather than the clean, more evenly distributed vertical punctures seen with the motorized micro-needling machines.
For the best results, micro-needling should be combined with the application of an effective topical medication. Micro-needling creates micro-channels in the skin which enhance penetration of topical serums and medications, dramatically increasing their effectiveness. Up to 80% of product can penetrate the skin compared to 7 to 10% with normal topical application. 
  
In my office, we use the ProCell Therapies system which combines motorized micro-needling with concentrated human growth factor serums made from human stem cells. Our patients also use growth factor serum at home after the office treatment.
