Each board certified plastic surgeon has their own protocol on this.  Some like the support over a longer period of time.  This also may be dependent on variables such as; type of pocket, skin laxity, placement of IMF, etc.  Best to speak with your plastic surgeon's office.  They should be able to tell you the protocol.

Thank you for your recent question!  In my practice I want my patients to wear there supportive surgical bra for 3 weeks.  After the 3 weeks i recommend an underwire bra day and evening for better support.  I would recommend contacting your surgeon to see what his or her preference is. Best of luck!
