Pop and burning sensation - 5 years post-op.

Question

Playing football with grandkids. I got tackled and tried to break my fall and felt pop and burning in my right breast. Now it is painful and burns. I have silicone implants 5 years post surgery. No noticeable changes to the breast. Should I be seen or wait it out?

Breast that are having pain and or burning sensation should be evaluated.  You have reported you heard a pop and then had discomfort after an injury to the breast.  A visit with the Plastic surgeon for examination and then possibly a mammogram and or MRI to rule out a rupture.  Good luck.

You may have torn the scar tissue lining around your implant. It might be best to call your doctor and asked to be checked.
