Why Would Obagi Nu Derm Cause Excessive Peeling on my Nose,to the Point of Raw and Bleeding?

Been on obagi nu derm for 4 months. Out of those months I have consistently experienced extreme peeling only on my nose.It peels,bleeds,then scabs over.when I wash my face or touch my nose, scabs come off revealing raw areas,now there are brown patches on nose? I am no longer using product on nose,but it looks too bad to be seen in public.My PS briefly looked t it mont ago,said oh, just leave it alone,it will heal! It has not, I don't know what to do? Will this scar if it ever heals??

Obagi is meant to peel the skin at a rapid rate to get to fresher skin. Perhaps, you want to back off the Tret a bit and avoid getting too close to the nose. Having said that, Tret does migrate so again, you may need to adjust your usage. I would speak to your surgeon/aesthetician again about your concern. Some people peel much more than others and the treatment plan has to be modified. Obagi is like medicine and not one size fits all.

If this product is causing excessive peeling or raw skin, you should stop using it.Read about retinoids and choose a gentle pro=uct on Retinoids 101 (see link).I recommend a Level 1 (mild) retinoid product from KareSkin instead once the scabs have healed. Best
